Kuwait City, Kuwait, April 7, 2024: The Olympic Council of Asia has announced details of the next Asian youth development camp under the OCA/Olympic Solidarity continental programme.
The OCA – World Triathlon Asian Youth Camp will take place at Kampar, Malaysia from July 10-17, 2024. Arrival will be July 9 and departure July 17/18.
In a circular to presidents and secretary generals of the OCA’s 45 National Olympic Committees dated April 7, OCA Deputy Director General Vinod Kumar Tiwari outlines the details of the youth camp – one of the most popular projects of the OCA.
The camp will include athletes and coaches. Each NOC is allowed to register two athletes (one girl and one boy) aged from 15-17, and one coach. NOCs cannot register two athletes of the same gender but can still register only one athlete.

May 15: Application submission deadline
May 22: Selection process
May 29: Selection announcement
July 9: Arrival of athletes and coaches
July 10-17: OCA – World Triathlon Asian Youth Camp, Kampar, Malaysia
July 17/18: Departure of athletes and coaches.
OCA will bear the expenses for full-board accommodation and economy class airfares of two athletes and one coach, while the Olympic Council of Malaysia will assist with the issue of entry visas where required after finalising all registrations.

Kampar (nicknamed Education City) is the largest town of Kampar District, Perak, Malaysia. Founded in 1887, the town lies within the Kinta Valley, an area rich with tin reserves. Kampar is 33 km south of the state capital Ipoh.
