SOPC President announces October dates for 2024 Saudi Games

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, April 7, 2024: HRH the Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, has announced that the third edition of the Saudi Games will be held in October 2024.

Prince Al-Faisal, who is also head of the organising committee, said the Saudi Games would be staged in the capital Riyadh from October 3-17.  

The Saudi NOC president thanked Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their support which has allowed the sports sector in the Kingdom to achieve excellence.

The list of sports and details of the torch relay will be announced later. Last year the torch relay traversed 13,000 km in 30 days across all 13 regions of the Kingdom and made 70 stops.

More than 9,000 athletes competed in the Games last year, representing 147 clubs and 25 Paralympic clubs, and 22 sports academies from around the country.
