Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 24, 2024: The United Arab Emirates National Sports Day was celebrated earlier this month with an unprecedented number of participants from all sections of society.
In an upbeat sports atmosphere, the UAE National Olympic Committee celebrated the ninth edition of National Sports Day with a record 77,230 people taking part in the festivities.
Students led the parade with 5,000 boys and girls involved in the main march past at the Al Ahli Shabab Club alongside athletes, board members of the National Olympic Committee and the public.
This was followed by a series of competitive games of football, volleyball and badminton, as well as specialists conducting fitness training sessions for the community.
The celebrations were held under the slogan "The UAE Unites Us". Students also held up placards and posters heralding the 1st Youth GCC Games which will be staged in Dubai in April.
