Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, March 24, 2024: The Asian Kickboxing Confederation has congratulated Claudine Veloso for being honoured at the Women in Sports Awards Night organised by the Philippine Sports Commission in Manila.
Veloso received a Special Citation at the awards night for winning 52kg kickboxing gold at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia last year.
The Asian Kickboxing Confederation noted: “Claudine ‘The Velocity’ Veloso, a member of the Samahang Kickboxing ng Pilipinas, was one of the female athletes who received an award.
“Claudine Veloso is one of the best athletes of the Asian Confederation and won the gold medal during the kickboxing competition of the 32nd SEA Games Cambodia 2023.”
Claudine declared: “It is an honour to receive this special award given by the Philippine Sports Commission. We will thrive more and give our very best to continue giving pride to our country through sports.”
Claudine is now targeting gold at the upcoming 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Bangkok and Chonburi province from November 21-30.
“We congratulate Claudine Veloso and wish her the best in her kickboxing career,” the Asian Kickboxing Confederation concluded.
