Thimphu, Bhutan, March 18, 2024: The Secretary General of the Bhutan Olympic Committee, Sonam Karma Tshering, led an eight-member delegation on a visit to India last week.
Secretary General Tshering met with Indian Olympic Association President P.T. Usha and had fruitful discussions on ways to increase sports cooperation between the two countries.
The Bhutan delegation also visited the Indian Olympic Association and met with officials from the Sports Authority of India and National Anti-Doping Agency of India to discuss athlete exchange, joint sports events and cooperation in other areas.
IOA President Usha was quoted on the IOA Instagram page as saying: “It was a pleasure hosting Mr. Sonam Karma Tshering, Secretary General, Bhutan Olympic Committee and all delegates at the IOA office. We explored and discussed aspects of both the Committees and how to strengthen the Olympic Movement and promote Olympic values together.”
