NOCs of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan celebrate International Women’s Day

Astana, Kazakhstan, March 10, 2024: The National Olympic Committees of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 by toasting all women in congratulatory posts on social media.

“We sincerely congratulate you on International Women’s Day,” Kazakhstan NOC stated on its Instagram page.

“The delicate holiday of spring, a symbol of love and beauty, youth and creativity, holds a special place in our hearts.

“Thank you very much for your courage and kindness, wisdom and sincerity.

“We wish you all health, happiness and success,” Kazakhstan NOC wrote.

In Tashkent, Uzbekistan NOC also sent out a similar message: “Congratulations on March 8, International Women’s Day. The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan sincerely wishes you good health and long life. May beauty and elegance never leave you. Always remain so joyful, sincere and tender.”

Celebrated annually on March 8, International Women’s Day is not just a day to celebrate women’s achievements, but also a call-to-action for gender equality, highlighting the ongoing struggle for parity and the need for continued advocacy and action worldwide.

The United Nations had designated the campaign theme for 2024 as ‘Inspire Inclusion’.
