Nepal NOC welcomes officials of Non-Resident Nepali Association

Kathmandu, Nepal, February 26, 2024: The President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, Dr. KC Badra, along with NRNA Vice President Ms. Rojina Pradhan Rai, paid a courtesy visit to the Nepal Olympic Committee last Friday, February 23.

The visitors were welcomed by the President of the NOC Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Vice President Tej Gurung and Secretary General Nilendra Raj Shrestha.

During discussions, the NRNA duo were briefed on the work of the National Olympic Committee and sports in general in the country.

The NRNA was established in 2003 with the purpose of uniting and binding the Nepali diaspora under one umbrella, and fuelled by the belief: “Once a Nepali you always remain a Nepali”.

The NRNA network has grown to include more than 90 countries around the world.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, February 24, NOC President Jeevan Shrestha, VP Gurung and Secretary General Nilendra Shrestha bid farewell to two shooters, Bipesh Khadka and Susmita Nepal, an Olympic Scholarship holder, who were leaving for an 11-day training camp in Pakistan.

The training camp is being organised by the Asian Shooting Confederation.
