Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, February 22, 2024: The President of the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, and the President of the French National Olympic Sports Committee, David Lappartient, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen collaboration between the two NOCs.

The MOU signing took place in the Saudi capital Riyadh on February 14. Also attending the ceremony was SOPC Vice President Prince Fahad bin Jalawi and SOPC Secretary General Abdulaziz Baeshen.

With this MOU, both NOCs are stepping up their efforts to strengthen the Olympic Movement and to share sport-related knowledge that will further their respective advancements on the administrative and technical fronts.

Given that the next Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held in Paris this summer, the MOU is highly significant as it gives Team Saudi the chance to closely observe the planning of such massive sporting events.

French NOC President Lappartient, who also attended the King Salman Camel Racing Festival, expressed his pleasure and called it a great chance to collaborate on initiatives, advance the integration of sport into society and strengthen ties between the two NOCs.
