Tokyo, Japan, February 20, 2020: Mongolia's national archery team has cancelled its training camp in Aichi Prefecture, central Japan, due to concerns over the new coronavirus outbreak, NHK World-Japan reports from Tokyo.

The team was scheduled to hold the training camp from February 19 until March 7 in Okazaki City to prepare for the Tokyo Olympics.

City officials say they received a notification of the cancellation from Mongolia's archery association on Monday.

The archery association said that the Mongolian government had requested sports governing bodies in the country not to participate in competitions and training camps in Asian countries amid the virus outbreak.

A senior Okazaki official said the city would continue to provide support for the Mongolian team as it was planning to hold another training camp in July.
