Colombo, Sri Lanka, January 24, 2024: The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka has called for applications from national federations for the position of Chef de Mission for the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be held in Bangkok and Chonburi, Thailand from November 21-30, 2024.
Among a list of requirements listed is a fluency in English, holding a distinguished track record at the NOC Sri Lanka and having contributed to the Olympic Movement.
NOC Secretary General Maxwell de Silva said applicants are also required to have completed the Sport Administrators Course conducted by the NOC and a good track record at a national sports federation.
“Applicants must have an outgoing personality with good communication skills, must be a team player with a good record at the NOC Sri Lanka, be computer literate, and should be able to spend quite a lot of time at the NOC Sri Lanka office on pre-Games preparations to ensure Games Organising Committee requirements are met,” de Silva said.
Applicants who have completed an Advanced Sports Management Course will be given priority.
The deadline for applications is January 30.
