AESF partners with Temple University of Japan in bid to boost Esports

Tokyo, Japan, January 16, 2024: The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) has established a strategic partnership with Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ), encompassing joint efforts in both competition and education.

 

The Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties was signed at the University’s campus in Tokyo last Friday, January 12. 

 

Signing on behalf of the AESF was Director General Sebastian Lau and Chief Operating Officer Steve Kim, while representing the TUJ were Matthew Wilson, Dean of TUJ, John Lipartito, Assistant Professor and TUJ Esports varsity team director.

 

On the educational front, the AESF will support the TUJ Esports academic programme and facilitate an Esports exchange programme for students with partnered universities in Asia and beyond.

 

The collaboration further aims to integrate guest lecturers, help in introductions to industry experts, and jointly develop projects to cultivate Esports talent through training programmes, education boot camps and research.
