Tehran, Iran, January 2, 2024: The National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran held an Olympic Solidarity sports management course at the National Olympic Academy last week.
The four-day course designed by the International Olympic Committee was attended by managers and staff of the NOC, the National Paralympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
The course covered a number of topics including the foundation of the Olympic movement, the Olympic Games, sustainability through sports, environment and sports, human resources management, performance management and evaluation, the use of virtual space in sports organisations, social media in sports and communications and decision-making.
Also covered was the importance of sports in society, the ethical issues in doping and sport travel planning. Participants took part in group activities during the four-day course.
