Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, December 30, 2023: The Olympic Council of Malaysia has congratulated its President, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, on his appointment as a professional member of the Advisory Board under the Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching, Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI).
The appointment spans a period of two years, effective from 1 October 2023 to 30 September 2025, with the possibility of an extension for another two years.
“On behalf of the Executive Board of OCM, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Tan Sri Norza for his appointment to the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching of UPSI,” stated Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, Deputy President of OCM.
“We firmly believe that Tan Sri Norza, being one of the most respected sport leaders in Malaysia, will provide invaluable advice to elevate the Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching of UPSI,” he added.
The OCM President added: “I am truly honoured and humbled for this appointment from the UPSI.
“I will definitely seize this opportunity to inculcate the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect within the community of the faculty.
“The Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching of UPSI, being one of the leading sports science and sports management institutions in Malaysia, will be entrusted with a significant role to promote the Olympic Movement in Malaysia.”
