Manama, Bahrain, December 28, 2023: The Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji, received the Chair of the BOC Athletes’ Committee, Hussein Al-Sayyad, at the BOC headquarters this week.
Al-Kooheji welcomed Hussein Al-Sayyad, who is also the captain of the national men’s handball team, and had discussions on ways to implement many programmes and plans aimed at helping athletes in the Kingdom.
The BOC has ensured that the Athletes’ Committee plays an active role in promoting the careers of athletes and taken positive steps to activate programmes.
The BOC Secretary General was also informed of the latest preparations of the handball team which will compete at the Asia Cup - a qualifying event for the World Cup.
The Asia Cup is being hosted by Bahrain and will be held in January 2024.
Al-Kooheji wished captain Al-Sayyad and his team all the best for the tournament.
