Kuwait City, Kuwait, December 20, 2023: His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, on behalf of His Majesty the King and the government of Bhutan, visited Kuwait to express condolences for the passing of HH the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
HRH Prince Jigyel, who is President of the Bhutan Olympic Committee and Chair of the OCA International Relations Committee, was accompanied by former Prime Minister Dasho Dr Lotay Tshering.
The late Amir, who was 86, passed away last Saturday.
The new Amir, Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, assumed responsibilities on the same day.
His Royal Highness also conveyed congratulations to the new Amir for taking on his role.
