Jordanian Athletes Forum produces recommendations for the future

Amman, Jordan, December 17, 2023: The activities of the Jordanian Athletes Forum 2023, which was held by the Athletes’ Committee of the Jordan Olympic Committee, concluded on Saturday, December 16 in the presence of male and female athletes representing all Jordanian sports federations.

 

The forum included a number of dialogue sessions related to athletes and their careers from specialists as part of the efforts of both the Athletes’ Committee and JOC to support Jordanian athletes during their sports career.

 

The forum included several topics, including introducing the JOC, sports federations, the role of the Athletes’ Committee, programmes approved by the International Olympic Committee, sports nutrition, clean sports, sports injuries, mental health, and social responsibility, in addition to building the image of the player outside the scope of competitions.

 

The Secretary General of the JOC, Rana Al-Saeed, confirmed that this forum comes within the vision of the JOC in supporting Jordanian athletes and introducing them to the tasks of the JOC, the Athletes’ Committee and topics related to their sporting career.

 

Al-Saeed said: " Today, we were pleased to meet a group of our heroines and champions from all of our Jordanian national teams. We discussed several topics related to Jordanian athletes that help them practice sports with a high degree of professionalism.

 

She added: " We look forward to holding this forum on an ongoing basis because of its great importance to athletes and the Jordanian sports system, and we will take into account the recommendations issued by the athletes who attended this forum.”
