Lausanne, Switzerland, December 13, 2023: ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg hosted representatives from the seven National Olympic Committees taking part in the IOC Immersion Programme on December 4.
The NOC representatives were welcomed to the ANOC headquarters in Lausanne and given a presentation by Secretary General Lindberg on ANOC as an organisation and its main projects in line with the ANOC strategic plan.
The participating NOC representatives are: NOC of Algeria, Imad Chaabena (Head of Olympic Solidarity); NOC of Malwai, Noel Mtawali (Accountant); NOC of Barbados, Kendia Brathwaite (Senior Operations Officer); NOC of Saudi Arabia, Moudy Al Sudairi (Senior International Relations Specialist); NOC of Qatar, Abdulhadi Al-Marri (Head of Business Affairs & Partnerships); NOC of Czechia, Barbora Žehanová (Director of Communications); and NOC of New Zealand, Cathleen Bias (Legacy and Information Manager).
The Immersion Programme was launched by the IOC last year and sees the NOC representatives become familiarised with the IOC operations as they work from the Olympic House in Lausanne.
This year’s edition is taking place between November 27 and December 8 and is also an opportunity for participants to share expertise and best practices with IOC employees who have similar functions and responsibilities.
