Dushanbe, Tajikistan, December 10, 2023: Tajikistan National Olympic Committee, in cooperation with Olympic Solidarity, conduced the “Olympic Culture and Heritage Study” programme on December 8.
The event took place at the Russian-Tajik General Secondary School of the Russian-Tajik Slavic University in Dushanbe city.
The programme was based on the topics of the sports policy of the country’s President and NOC President, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and focused on teaching the Olympic values in educational institutions.
The students were inspired by the presence of the NOC Vice President, four-time Olympian Dilshod Nazarov who won the gold medal in men’s hammer throw at Rio 2016.
The programme included an Olympic quiz on culture and heritage and the development of the Olympic movement in the country; the winners were awarded gifts from Tajikistan NOC.
The NOC also provided sports equipment to the Russian-Tajik General Secondary School.
