CTOC President awarded honorary doctorate degrees by two universities

 

Taipei, December 5, 2023: The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee proudly announces that its esteemed President, Mr. Hong-Dow Lin, has been bestowed with the prestigious Honorary Doctorate Degree from National Dong Hwa University on November 11 and the National Taiwan Sport University on November 28. 

 

These degrees recognise his successful management of international relations and his dedicated philanthropy, demonstrating long-term commitment and support for sport.

 

Mr. Lin's unwavering dedication to the advancement of sport in Chinese Taipei has not only elevated the standing of the CTOC on the global sporting stage but has also inspired countless individuals to pursue excellence in athletics and sports administration.

 

Mr. Lin expressed his gratitude, dedicating the Honorary Doctorate Degrees to his family and particularly to his mother, stating: "This honorary doctorate, I want to dedicate to my family, to my mother, and it is more suitable to be awarded to my mother." 

 

Mr. Lin emphasized his mother's unwavering support and guidance. He acknowledged her advice to repay what is owed in this lifetime, underlining the importance of perseverance and the support of loved ones in overcoming adversity.
