Doha, Qatar, November 28, 2023: Logistics issues at the Doha Port venue have prompted a schedule change for the men’s and women’s 5km open water swimming competitions at the World Aquatics Championships – Doha 2024.
Originally set for 6 February, the men’s and women’s 5km open water swimming events will now take place on 7 February. The women’s 5km competition is slated to commence at 10:30 local time (UTC 7:30), followed by the men’s 5km event starting at 13:00 (10:00 UTC).
No adjustments are expected for the dates or times of the women’s 10km (3 February), men’s 10km (4 February) or the mixed 4x1500m relay (8 February) competitions.
The world championships in six disciplines will run from February 2-18.
