Phnom Penh, Cambodia, November 26, 2023: The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia held an International Weightlifting Federation Level 1 Coaching Course in Phnom Penh.
The course was held as part of the IWF support for the 32nd SEA Games which were held in Cambodia for the first time last May.
His Excellency Vath Chamroeun, President of the Weightlifting Federation of Cambodia and Secretary General of Cambodia NOC, said: “In order for the sport of weightlifting to have high-quality athletes, it depends on the coaches to observe athletes in the provinces where they are training.
“After that we can discuss with the national federation how to find the resources to train these athletes further with qualified coaches. Let's achieve our goals in the future.”
