New Delhi, India, November 20, 2023: The Indian Olympic Association is celebrating a milestone reached on social media during the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China and has also thanked its numerous sponsors for their support during the continental showpiece.
In a message on its Facebook page, the IOA revealed a milestone had been achieved on social media with 10 million plus impressions on Instagram during the Asian Games.
“A milestone achieved with 10 million plus impressions on Instagram, while we got together to #Cheer4india and celebrate our success at the @ag2022official,” the IOA said.
“Let’s keep supporting our athletes in the build up to the big one next year @paris2024.”
India had its best outing at the Asian Games since it finished second in the medal standings at the inaugural event in Delhi 1951 and third in Jakarta 1962 – finishing fourth in Hangzhou with a total of 107 medals including 28 gold medals, 38 silver and 41 bronze.
The IOA also said a big Thank You to all its sponsors “for their incredible support during the 19th Asian Games”. The IOA had 10 sponsors – JSW, Reliance Foundation, Adani, Samsonite, Borosil, Skechers, Amul, SFA, INOX Group and Liberty.
