Hong Kong, China, November 15, 2023: Dutch football great Ruud Gullit will be in Hong Kong this weekend as part of an initiative by high-profile sports supporter Laureus.

Gullit, who captained the Netherlands to their Euro 88 success in West Germany, is a Laureus Academy member and Ballon D’Or-winning football legend.

Together with Laureus Ambassador and 2014 Women’s Rugby World Cup-winner Danielle “Nolli” Waterman of England, Gullit will be taking part in the “Model City Hong Kong – Sport for Good” programme on Saturday, November 18.

The project is located at Tai Hing Estate, Tuen Mun, in the New Territories.

The visit will showcase the work of InspiringHK’s Move 70 Curriculum. InspiringHK is one of the partner organisations included in Model City Hong Kong - a group of sport for development programmes working together in Hong Kong to use sport and physical activity to support the mental and physical wellbeing of young people.

Laureus Sport for Good has been supporting InspiringHK since 2018 as part of Laureus’s charity partnership with the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens. The Move 70 Curriculum provides each student with a total of 70 hours of training, including 60 hours sports training, eight hours of learning experiences activities and at least two hours of sports assessment/performance, allowing them to make significant progress in both quantitative and qualitative data.
