OCA announces Coordination Committee for 6th AIMAG

Kuwait City, Kuwait, November 10, 2023: The Olympic Council of Asia has announced the composition of the OCA Coordination Committee for the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be held in Thailand early next year.

The nine-member committee will be chaired by Mr. Timothy Fok, OCA Vice President and President of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China.

The other members are: Chair of the OCA Athletes’ Committee (to be decided by members); Mr. Senghphone Phanomath, Secretary General, NOC Laos; Mrs. Rana Al Saeed, Secretary General, NOC Jordan; Mr. Abdul Sattar, President, NOC Maldives; Mr. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General, NOC Cambodia; Mr. Abraham Tolentino, President, NOC Philippines; Mr. Myo Hliang, Secretary General, NOC Myanmar; and Ms. Lisa Hsiao-Tzu Hs, Secretary General, Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee.

The Coordination Committee will be assisted by the OCA Headquarters delegates. The dates of the CC meeting will be confirmed shortly.

The 6th AIMAG was due to be held in 2021 but has been postponed several times due to the pandemic and the change of government in Thailand.

It will be hosted by Bangkok and Chonburi Province, with the new dates confirmed for February 23 to March 6, 2024.
