Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 7, 2023: The United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee commemorated UAE Flag Day at its headquarters in Dubai last Friday, November 3.

This was in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to hoist the UAE Flag at all federal and government buildings, symbolising the nation’s pride.

UAE NOC Secretary General Faris Mohammed Al-Mutawa, who presided at the ceremony, affirmed that the flag of the Emirates is a source of pride for all citizens of the country who drew inspiration from it.

Al-Mutawa pointed out that the sight of the flag being raised was a goal and an honour for all athletes who represented the UAE at major international competitions and was in line with the view of HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Second Deputy Governor of Dubai and President of the UAE NOC.

The Flag Day event was attended by a number of board members of the UAE NOC as well as president of national sports federations and the executive director of UAE NOC Muhammad bin Darwish.
