Manama, Bahrain, October 30, 2023: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, lauded the robust fraternal ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt when he welcomed the President of the Egyptian Basketball Federation, Magdy Abu Farikha, recently.
Shaikh Isa praised the strong pillars of friendship, mutual respect and bilateral cooperation across various domains, particularly in the realm of sports, at a reception at the headquarters of the Bahrain Olympic Committee in Seef District.
Extending a warm welcome to the Egyptian delegation, which included several members of the Basketball Federation’s Board of Directors and representatives of Egyptian clubs Al-Ahly and Zamalek, Shaikh Isa expressed his delight at the presence of the two leading clubs for the inaugural edition of the Egyptian Super Cup.
He also said Bahrain was proud to host the tournament, a result of collaboration between the Bahraini and Egyptian Basketball Federations in partnership with the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
