Hanoi, Vietnam, October 26, 2023: The Vietnam Youth Figure Skating and Short Track Speed Skating Championships were held under the auspices of the Vietnam Olympic Committee.
The three-day event ran from October 20-22 at the Royal City ice rink inside the Vincom Mega Mall Royal City in Hanoi and closed with the prize presentation for the leading athletes.
The championships were organised by the Vietnam Skating and Roller Sports Federation, Hanoi Culture and Sports Department, the government sports department and the Vietnam Olympic Committee in collaboration with Vincom Retail Operations Co., Ltd.
The top three athletes in each competition received medals, certificates and other awards, including Ha Minh Phuong, Nguyen Ngoc Tam Nhi, Nguyen Linh Chi, Nguyen Cao Hà Mi, Ngô Hoang Ngan, Pham Minh Van and Nguyen Huu Hoang.
The new national youth skating championships provide the sports officials with the opportunity to identify the young talent in figure skating and short track and assess the training needs of the athletes in order to represent Vietnam in regional and international events, under the jurisdiction of the national, continental and world governing bodies.
