Kathmandu, Nepal, October 23, 2023: The President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, bid farewell to participants in the 15th Asian Shooting Championships last Friday, October 20.
Nepal will be represented by Olympic Scholarship holder Ms. Sushmita Nepal and Bipesh Khadka at the Championships to be held in Changwon, Korea from October 22 to November 2. This competition is also a qualifying event for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
President Shrestha gave his best wishes to the two athletes and urged them to use this event as an opportunity to challenge themselves against international competition.
Sushmita will compete in the women’s 10m Air Rifle while Bipesh will participate in the men’s 10m Air Pistol.
Also attending the farewell ceremony at the Nepal NOC Headquarters in Satdobato was the President of the Nepal Shooting Association, Pushpa Das Shrestha.
