Hangzhou, China, October 3, 2023: At the Asian Games on Tuesday, young Jordanian athlete Bashar Al-Turki dazzled everyone with his outstanding performance in the men's trampoline competition.

At just 21 years old, Bashar managed to shine and secure the sixth position in this prestigious sporting event.

Facing stiff competition from experienced athletes from China, Japan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the Asian Games, Bashar didn't hesitate to give his best. He delivered an exceptional performance in the trampoline competition, executing impressive moves and displaying remarkable focus and stability in the air.

Although he didn't clinch a medal, achieving the sixth position was a significant accomplishment for both Bashar and Jordan. This achievement serves as a source of pride for Bashar and motivates him to continually strive for excellence in his athletic journey.

Bashar expressed immense pride and joy in Jordan's participation in trampolining at the Asian Games for the first time, considering it an honor to represent his country in this sport on the Asian stage.

In 2022, Bashar faced a leg injury, but he returned to training just five months before the start of the Asian Games, where his sixth position was an even more remarkable feat considering his recovery journey.

Looking ahead, Bashar aspires to win a medal in the Asian Games in Japan in 2026, and he believes that this dream is achievable. He is determined to elevate Jordan's name in the world of sports, aiming to represent not only his country but also the Arab nations at the international sports level.

Bashar had a message for young athletes: "Dare and take the first step, try trampolining or any sport you are passionate about. Sports are not just physical activities; they are a gateway to self-discovery and an opportunity to connect with new people."

He concluded by commending the city of Hangzhou for its excellent hosting of the Asian Games,

praising the provision of all services and amenities at the Athletes' Village, especially the availability of halal food, which brought him comfort and happiness.

Bashar Al-Turk stands as an inspiring example for young individuals who dare to overcome challenges and work diligently to achieve their dreams in the world of sports. We can expect to hear more about his accomplishments in the coming years and wish him success in his bright sporting career.
