OCA young reporters take well-earned break in Kuka deepsleep box

Hangzhou, China, October 3, 2023: The Olympic Council of Asia’s young reporters were taken into the world of the Kuka deepsleep box in the Main Media Centre on Tuesday morning.

Kuka Home is an official exclusive supplier for the Hangzhou Asian Games and can be located in the Life Service Centre inside the MMC, along with other exhibits, stores and methods of relaxation.

It offers four deepsleep boxes for females and four for males, and enable the hard-working media to take a well-earned rest in compact but luxurious conditions before heading back out into the field.

Kuka is making its first appearance as an Asian Games sponsor and is servicing around 50 people a day, with the slogan of “Deepsleep Tech, for Champion”.

On Tuesday, OCA young reporters Shaikhah Al Tamimi from Kuwait and Dana Thaer Khaled Kharaz from Palestine were given a guided tour of Kuka House and were impressed by the silence inside the box, as well as the control of air, the soothing sound of the West Lake and the light fragrance emanating from the ventilation.

Media can check in at the Kuka front desk, swipe the card to enter the box and then activate the deep sleep experience. After four hours, an alarm sounds and it’s back to business reporting the 19th Asian Games.

The service includes various forms of mattress, pillows and a personal blanket that can be taken away or stored for future use.

The OCA young reporters were in agreement – that the Kuka deepsleep box was just the ticket during such a busy schedule as the Asian Games.
