Hangzhou, China, October 2, 2023: Amid the excitement of the Asian Games, a Young Reporter from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) embarked on an enchanting journey to Hangzhou, China. Guided by local experts, we immersed ourselves in Hangzhou's culture and natural beauty.

Our adventure began with a warm welcome from the tour guide, Grace. They provided an experienced guide and comfortable transportation. Our first stop was the renowned West Lake, a jewel of Hangzhou. We enjoyed a boat ride that felt like a journey back in time, surrounded by lush landscapes and ancient designs.

After the boat ride, we explored an old street filled with fascinating shops, where we discovered Chinese treasures like intricate hair accessories, unique snuff bottles, and delicious snacks. Friendly local residents greeted and filmed us, making it a truly immersive cultural experience.

As night fell, our diverse tour group ventured to a local restaurant. With different food preferences, choosing our meal took some lively discussion. Eventually, we found a restaurant offering a variety of Chinese dishes, which provided a perfect ending to our day.

Looking back, our Hangzhou trip blended experiences - the serene West Lake, the cultural discoveries on the old street, and the delightful Chinese cuisine. It deepened our appreciation for Chinese culture, leaving us with cherished memories of Hangzhou's unique charm.
