Hangzhou, China, September 23, 2023: With a roaring enthusiastic performance, the 19th Asian Games in China’s Hangzhou was a once in a life time opportunity that was glistening with the spirit of Asia and its people.
Each orchestrated performance during the ceremony was a breathtaking reminder of how humanity as whole and Asia in specific strive to embody the spirit of one.
The integration of tradition into modernity was no less of ideal as China paved the way for others to follow in cherishing and integrating tradition and culture within modernity.
The ceremony lovingly reminded me of how despite our apparent exterior differences, in essence we truly are one and all that we want to achieve is a bright today and a happier tomorrow.
With the language barrier seemingly hardening the connection between the audience and performers, Hangzhou was no short of a warm welcoming host as it was able to gracefully embody the Asian Human emotions into a parade of color, light, sound and of course hi-spec technology.
The event almost felt like it was extracted from the deep knowing of each person in the Arena of how beautiful humanity is in celebrating its differences as well as its similarities.
As the official song of the 19th Asian Games says: “life shines on life,” and with that, the digital torchbearer created by millions of torch relay participants actually elaborates on these words as the lines between man and machine isn’t dangerously blurred but are intertwined; thus creating a masterpiece of an event that surely would be a setting stone in the path towards a harmonized blissful here and now.
