Kaohsiung City, September 16, 2023: The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC) staged a flag presentation ceremony for the Chinese Taipei delegation to the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 on September 16, 2023.
President Tsai Ing-Wen presented the CTOC flag to Mr. Lin Hong-Dow, President of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee and head of the delegation, and urged the athletes to continue striving for excellence in their respective sports with determination and resolve.
Before the ceremony, participants took part in a comprehensive two-hour orientation session, covering various topics such as Games information, protocol and doping control guidelines.
The 19th edition of the Asian Games will take place in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province in eastern China, from September 23 to October 8, 2023.
CTOC is proud to announce its representation by a total of 521 athletes, who will compete across 33 sports.
Looking back at the Asian Games Jakarta- Palembang 2018, the delegation achieved an unprecedented milestone, securing an impressive total of 67 medals. This year’s delegation is ready to uphold this illustrious legacy, aiming for the highest honors, and continuing their pursuit of excellence on the international stage.
