Hong Kong, China, September 15, 2023: The Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) met with Mr. Sam Wong Tak Sum, the newly appointed Commissioner for Sports, at Olympic House on Thursday, September 14, and conducted in-depth exchanges on sports policies and development in Hong Kong.
After the meeting, SF&OC President Timothy Fok said: “The new Commissioner for Sports, who was an athlete and a coach before he rose to executive positions, has been working in the sports sector for over 30 years.
“We hope that, with his wealth of experience and deep understanding of the sports sector, he will work hand-in-hand with various stakeholders to promote the development of the local sports industry.
“SF&OC will continue to play its bridging role to actively reflect views from the sports sector and the public to the government. We anticipate that the government will formulate suitable measures to boost the sports culture in the community and raise the performance level of sports in Hong Kong."
SF&OC was also represented at the meeting by Vice Presidents Dr. Karl Kwok, Tony Yue, Prof. Herman Hu and Ronnie Wong; Hon. Secretary General Edgar Yang: Hon. Deputy Secretary General Wong Po Kee and Philip Mok; and Officer Wong Kam Po.

SF&OC Exchanges with New Commissioner for Sports on Hong Kong Sports Development
The Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) today (14 September 2023) met with Mr. Sam WONG Tak Sum, the newly appointed Commissioner for Sports, at the Olympic House, and conducted in-depth exchanges on sports policies and development in Hong Kong.
