Kathmandu, Nepal, September 13, 2023: The 16th Executive Committee meeting of the Nepal Olympic Committee held on Monday, September 11, appointed Tanka Lal Ghising as the Chef de Mission of the Nepalese contingent at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
Ghising, who is the Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, will head a squad of 253 athletes for the continental showpiece from September 23 to October 8.
The Nepal Olympic Committee also announced that Chaturananda Rajvaidya, Vice President and Executive Director of the NOC, and Anjan Dhamala, Board Member of the National Sports Council, will be Deputy Chefs de Mission.
Nepal will field 253 athletes in 29 sports and disciplines at the Hangzhou Asian Games.
The Himalayan Kingdom will compete in: archery, athletics, basketball, badminton, boxing, dance sports, canoe, cricket, cycling, esports, fencing, football, golf, handball, judo, kabaddi, karate, rugby, shooting, squash, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling and wushu.
