Hangzhou, China, September 6, 2023: Geely Holding Group has delivered 2,000 smart, premium new-energy vehicles to the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee at a handover ceremony.
As the official mobility partner of Hangzhou 2022, Geely will create the largest transportation fleet in the history of the Asian Games.
The 2,000 vehicles come from Geely Holding’s subsidiary brands including Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, Zeekr, Farizon, RADAR and others.
All of the official vehicles for the September 23-October 8 Asian Games come equipped with satellite-based high-precision positioning technology supported by the “Geely Future Mobility Constellation.”
In addition, Geely will provide 2,000 full-time drivers from their strategic mobility service CaoCao Mobility to guarantee high-quality driving services.
During the Asian Games, Geely’s green and intelligent vehicles will provide support during various activities including the torch relay, marathon, cycling, opening and closing ceremonies and transportation between venues.
Through the use of electrified and green methanol intelligent vehicles, Geely empowers the Asian Games in fulfilling its promise of being “green, smart and sustainable” as well as showcasing Hangzhou’s progress in developing a digital and smart city.
Speaking at the handover ceremony on September 3, Eric Li, Chairman of Geely Holding Group, said: “We are thankful to be able to support such a high-level sporting event as an official mobility partner.
