Hong Kong, China sends 200-strong delegation to EAYG

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, August 15, 2023: The opening ceremony of the Ulaanbaatar 2023 East Asian Youth Games will take place on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. 

A number of athletes from the Hong Kong, China delegation departed Tuesday for Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, while other athletes will set off in the next few days.

Mr. Wong Po Kee, Chef de Mission of the Hong Kong, China delegation, said: "The East Asian Youth Games offers young athletes in the region a valuable opportunity for competition, allowing them to accumulate experience in international sports events and lay the groundwork for their future development. 

“We look forward to witnessing young talented Hong Kong athletes to fully demonstrate their potential, scale great heights and enjoy every moment of the Games.”

The Ulaanbaatar 2023 East Asian Youth Games will be held from August 16-23, 2023, featuring 11 sports. Hong Kong, China sent young athletes aged 15 to 18 to participate in nine sports, with the delegation consisting of more than 200 people.

To keep the public abreast of the latest news of the delegation and competition results, the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) has launched a dedicated website for the event. Relevant information will also be published timely through SF&OC’s social media channels.
