Malaysia’s 24-strong delegation leaves for Commonwealth Youth Games

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, August 2, 2023: The Malaysian contingent to the VII Commonwealth Youth Games Trinbago 2023 left for Trinidad and Tobago in the early morning of Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

The Malaysian contingent of 24 members, headed by Chef de Mission Mrs. Ang Li Peng, is expected to arrive in the Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago in the afternoon (local time) of Thursday, August 3.

The Commonwealth Games Association (CGA) Malaysia coordinated a simple sending-off for the Malaysian contingent at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in the late evening of Tuesday, August 1. 

“I would like to thank the CGA Malaysia and its President, Tan Sri Dr. Norza Zakaria, for appointing me as the Chef de Mission to the VII Commonwealth Youth Games Trinbago 2023,” said Mrs Ang.

“I am all ready to be the supporting system to our young athletes to the Commonwealth Youth Games, be it sharing of my past experiences as a former national athlete, my knowledge in legal practice and safeguarding in sport,” added Mrs. Ang, who is also a certified IOC Safeguarding Officer in Sport.
