Dushanbe, Tajikistan, January 29, 2020: The National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan has begun to implement an ambitious anti-doping education project to increase the level of knowledge among young athletes.

In the first stage of the project, eight education officers were trained and they will now conduct educational seminars and lectures in 56 towns and regions.

Tajikistan NOC is also planning to select about 90 coaches and sports specialists and train them how to conduct interactive classes in an informal and accessible way.

They will also receive basic knowledge of the WADA Code, International Standards, Doping Control procedure, Therapeutic Use Exemption and others. The training programme is designed for three days.

At the same time, on a Tajikistan NOC proposal, a mandatory anti-doping action plan will be introduced in every sports school in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The project by Tajikistan NOC is being undertaken with the support and guidance of the Central Asia RADO (Regional Anti-Doping Organisation) and Olympic Solidarity.
