Kathmandu, Nepal, July 3, 2023: The President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, bid farewell to the Chairman of the NOC Medical Commission, Dr. Saroj Krishna Shrestha, who left on Saturday to attend a two-day anti-doping meeting in New Delhi, India.
The South Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organisation will hold a cooperation meeting with the National Anti-Doping Agency of India on Monday and Tuesday, July 3-4. Dr. Saroj was invited by the Indian agency.
NOC President Shrestha gave his best wishes to Dr. Saroj and reminded him that anti-doping was a serious topic adding that more experts were needed in this field.
Also present at the farewell ceremony were NOC Vice President and Executive Director, Chaturananda Rajvaidya, and NOC Executive Secretary Sujan Lal Shrestha.
Meanwhile, on Friday, June 30, President Shrestha bid farewell to Olympic Solidarity scholarship holder Sanyog Kapali, who was invited to attend a table tennis coaching camp at Anshul Garg Academy Foundation in Noida, India, as part of his build-up to the Hangzhou Asian Games.
The NOC also presented Mr. Kapali with a training kit.
