Hangzhou, China, June 27, 2023: Organisers of the Hangzhou Asian Games have taken another big step on the long road to a successful hosting mission – by taking to the roads of Hangzhou.
On Monday, June 26, roads in Hangzhou began to pilot the “Lane for Asian Games” ahead of the 19th Asian Games from September 23 to October 8, 2023.
The Asian Games lanes will be officially put into operation during the Games themselves to ensure the priority and safety and smoothness of Asian Games vehicles during the event.
Motor vehicles must observe the corresponding regulations while driving along the lanes for the Asian Games. When the lane screen displays "Exclusive for the Asian Games during this period", only Asian Games vehicles with relevant passes are allowed.
When the lane screen displays "Borrowing allowed during this period", the lane can be used by other vehicles.
Asian Games participants will receive the benefits on their way to and from the competition venues, especially at peak traffic hours, and ensure that athletes and officials will arrive at the respective venues on time for competition.
