Hong Kong, China, June 17, 2023: The Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee signed a cooperation agreement with Phoenix Satellite Television Co. Ltd. in Hong Kong on Saturday.
With a delegation from the Olympic Council of Asia present, the contract was signed by Mr. Zhang Tong, Special Assistant to the CEO of Phoenix Media Investment (Holdings) Ltd, and by Mr. Xu Deqing, Deputy Director, Publicity Department of the CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee and Director of Press and Public Relations Department of HAGOC.
The signing ceremony took place at the Hong Kong HQ of Phoenix TV at Tai Po Industrial Estate in the New Territories and was preceded by a tour of the building.
The OCA was represented by Mr. Timothy Fok, Vice President for East Asia and President of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, Mr. Jeans Zhou Jian, Director of Media and Broadcast, and by Mr. Wissam Trkmani, Projects and Operations Manager.
OCA Vice President Timothy Fok said he was very happy and honoured to be invited to the Phoenix TV HQ in Hong Kong to participate in the signing of the strategic and comprehensive cooperation agreement between HAGOC and Phoenix TV.
“I believe that everyone knows that this year's Hangzhou Asian Games has entered the final stage with the 100-day countdown, and Hong Kong held a ceremony to mark this special occasion two days ago to let everyone in Hong Kong know about this landmark for the Asian Games,” he said.
“At present, athletes from all 45 members of the Olympic Council of Asia are participating in the 19th Asian Games and the representatives of Hong Kong, China are ready to do their best. We will show our support for the Hangzhou Asian Games by sending our largest and strongest delegation in history.”
Mr Fok added: “Over the years, Phoenix TV has strongly supported Hong Kong's affairs and published many high-quality reports. Today's signing ceremony is a big ‘thank you’ to Phoenix Satellite TV for your support, for adding colour to the event and bringing the latest scenes from Hangzhou to Hong Kong for everyone to enjoy.
“On behalf of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, I would like to express my gratitude to Phoenix TV for your support and also to wish for Hangzhou to host one of the most successful Asian Games. This strategic cooperation will achieve great results.”
