Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, June 9, 2023: Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council will celebrate Olympic Day 2023 on June 25 with an Olympic Day Run.
The event will be held in cooperation with the Department of Youth and Sport under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and will take place at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien.
The Olympic Day Run will incorporate seven categories based on gender and age, including a 1.8km distance for people with a disability and two 5km races for women and men. There will also be two 1.8km races for girls and boys aged 12 and under and two 3km races for women and men aged 60 and over.
Registration is free and will be open to the public until June 12, with each successful registration receiving a T-shirt and also a certificate on completing the run.
His Royal Highness Prince Sufri Bolkiah, President of Brunei Darussalam NOC, will be the guest of honour and present the top 10 in each category with a medal commemorating Olympic Day 2023.
