Bangkok, Thailand, June 7, 2023: A delegation headed by OCA Director General Mr. Husain Al Musallam and Mr. Vinod Kumar Tiwari, Director Intl. & NOC Relations met with Dr. Gongsak Yodmani, Governor of Sports Authority of Thailand and a delegation from NOC of Thailand consisting of Dato Seri Chaiyapak Siriwat, VP NOCT and Prof. Charoen, VP NOCT and discussed the staging of the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games.
The OCA delegation on behalf of the Asian Olympic Family placed on record its appreciation for the work carried out by the NOCT and SAT in organizing various sporting events in Thailand including 4 Asian Games and 2 AIMAG and Beach Games. The OCA fully understands the current situation in Thailand and will render its full support and cooperation to NOCT and SAT in preparation and successful staging of the 6th AIMAG in Bangkok and Chonburi province.
The meeting ended with all parties agreeing to continue their dialogue and a final decision will be taken during the 42nd OCA General Assembly scheduled to be held in Bangkok on 8th of July 2023, in presence of all the 45 member NOCs of OCA.
