OCA promotes ADEL initiative for Asian Games-bound athletes

Kuwait City, Kuwait, June 5, 2023: The Olympic Council of Asia is stepping up its efforts to ensure that the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China this year will be a “clean games” for all athletes.

The OCA today began a social media campaign drawing attention to the need for Asian Games-bound athletes to complete the ADEL e-learning module, as education is the most important tool in fighting doping.

ADEL is the Anti-Doping Education and Learning platform created by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and launched in January 2018.

In an effort to ensure fair play and clean sport, the OCA has made it mandatory for all athletes heading to the Asian Games to enroll and successfully complete the structured ADEL e-leaning platform for international level athletes.

The 19th Asian Games will run from September 23 to October 8 with 40 sports, 61 disciplines and 483 events.
