Muscat, Oman, June 5, 2023: The Oman Olympic Committee has congratulated national basketball coach Mahmoud bin Ambuali for successfully passing the International Coaching Course organised by the Hungarian University of Sport Sciences in collaboration with International Olympic Solidarity.
The Olympic Solidarity course is part of a programme to support technical staff and coach Mahmoud was one of 12 coaches from different countries who participated in the April 3 to June 1, 2023 spring semester. He finished the course with an “Excellent” grade of 4.79 out of 5.
Oman Olympic Committee through its Olympic Solidarity Department has put forward a number of training and rehabilitation programmes and opportunities provided by Olympic Solidarity for national coaches.
The basketball course included 12 theoretical courses in addition to a specialised course in basketball. The other courses included sports injuries, ethics in sports, sports science, sports biomechanics, sport sociology, physiological exercises, sports psychology, sports nutrition and sports management.
