Dushanbe, Tajikistan, May 17, 2023: The National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan held an Olympic Solidarity National Course for Sport Administrators in Kushoniyon District in the Khatlon region from May 11-13.
Representatives from schools and sports organisations in cities in the Khatlon region participated in the three-day course run by specialists from the Tajikistan NOC.
The course touched on a number of topics including the world Olympic movement, multi-sports Games, Olympic values, supporting athletes, management of sports organisations and leadership skills.
On the topic of multi-sports Games, the focus fell on the Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee’s procedure for choosing the host city and the number of sports were all subjects which were looked at in-depth.
Participants were briefed on the Olympic Winter Games and the Youth Olympic Games which are also held every four years.
