Hong Kong, China, May 4, 2023: The Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China held its General Meeting and a by-election at the Jockey Club Lecture Theatre of Olympic House on April 26 to elect an Honorary Deputy Secretary General.
The Federation declared that Mr. Philip K. T. Mok was elected as Honorary Deputy Secretary General through receiving a simple majority of votes.
Mr. Mok’s term of office begins with immediate effect until the conclusion of the 2024 Annual General Meeting.
The by-election was held to fill the vacancy arising from the election of Mr. Edgar J. T. Yang as Honorary Secretary General.
“The by-election was concluded successfully in an open and fair manner. The Federation is satisfied with the overall electoral arrangements and would like to express special thanks to the Election Committee for providing professional advice and overseeing the nomination and election process. The Federation also thanks all Members attending the meeting and their co-operation,” SF&OC said in a statement dated April 26.
