Dhaka, Bangladesh, April 20, 2023: The Bangladesh Olympic Association celebrated National Sports Day in conjunction with International Day of Sport for Development and Peace in a colourful ceremony earlier this month in the capital Dhaka.
To mark the day, a vibrant rally began at the Olympic Bhavan and, after passing the Sheikh Russel Roller Skating Complex and other roads, ended back at the BOA headquarters.
After the rally, flags of Bangladesh, United Nations, International Olympic Committee, Olympic Council of Asia and BOA were hoisted at Olympic Bhavan.
BOA Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza hoisted the national flag, while others taking part in the flag-hoisting ceremony included Deputy Secretary General Ashikur Rahman Miku, BOA member Asaduzzaman Kohinoor and BOA Director General Brig. Gen. (Retd.) Samach A. Khan.
Athletes and officials from a number of sports federations also participated in the event.
