Muscat, Oman, April 23, 2023: The Oman Olympic Committee conducted the second chapter of the Advanced Sports Management Course in coordination with the Oman Olympic Academy and the IOC Olympic Solidarity.

A total of 20 participants from sports federations were involved in the three-day programme which got underway on Sunday, April 16, and looked at developing and implementing plans to achieve a strategic goal, and assisting the Board of Directors in evaluating their impact.

The programme was headed by Hisham bin Salem Al-Adwani, accredited director of the Advanced Sports Management Course from the International Olympic Committee.

The target of the course was to provide participants who work in sport and Olympic administrative fields the opportunity to raise and develop their managerial and organisational skills.

The Advanced Sports Management Course is split into seven chapters with each stage held in the form of monthly workshops over a three-day period.

The IOC grants a diploma to successful participants at the end of the seventh chapter.
